Arrived recently in beta on Android, Molotov is an application that lets you watch live or replay the DTT channels. However, the application does not support Chromecast or Android for TV, which removes a large part of its appeal. Good news: an extension, MoloChrome, proposes to use Molotov in Chrome, which then allows the caster streaming service on Chromecast!
After a period of exclusivity on the Apple TV and iOS devices, Molotov happened recently in beta on Android. However, it was limited to compatibility with smartphones and tablets, ignoring for example the Android TV box. To benefit from Molotov on a TV, an extension is intended to provide compatibility Chromecast via Chrome.
An unofficial carrier
In theory, it is impossible to enjoy Molotov on a computer via browsers, since have to go through the official app. The extension MoloChrome proposes to raise your browser to the application Molotov via manipulation of the user agent. This allows to access to the catalog of videos directly from Google Chrome on a PC.

However, this solution may prove not to be very satisfactory. This is indeed cast all your tab, and not just ask the Molotov server to distribute the video to your Chromecast, as in the case of a YouTube video for example. You will possess a high flow rate, as in this case, your computer gets the flow Molotov, before repeating the transit on your TV via Chromecast connected to your Wi-Fi network.
A lower quality
For information, so we have tested this solution and found a picture of lower quality on the TV over the computer with artifacts and downturns especially when looking at live programs. An experimental feature and he clearly does not have to expect the same level of quality as a native Chromecast support.
